Given where the business is in its development, the Assistant Teacher has a unique opportunity to shape the business and culture to his/her ideal place to work! Responsibilities Assisting Lead Teachers in creating a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play and grow and that is conducive to learning Managing classrooms while Lead Teachers are on break Tracking and informing parents of students' progress Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement Supporting in communicating regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and in-person discussions Supporting your center's success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement Building relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen simultaneously and seamlessly Requirements and Attributes A passion for children and their healthy, safe, and age-appropriate development MA EEC Teaching Certification (required) Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting Clear background check/no criminal record Ability to attend monthly staff meetings, held outside of business hours, as required by EEC A warm, positive personality; playful and silly personality is a plus! The specific terms of this position are outlined below.
Hours Mansfield PALS is open between 7:
30am and 5:
30pm Monday through Friday.
The Assistant Teacher role is a 40-hour per week position.
Salary The Assistant Teacher's hourly rate is $16-18/hour, depending on experience and fit.
Bonus This position is eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $500 as well as the potential for year-end bonuses at the discretion of the owners.
Benefits The employer will fully cover workers' compensation.
In addition, the employer will match up to 3% of the Teacher's contributions to a retirement account.
Time Off The Assistant Teacher is eligible for paid time off.
In addition, the Teacher will have time off to observe Federal and State holidays (New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day).
Professional Development The employer will sponsor professional development for the Assistant Teacher in the areas he/she is interested in growing.
All requirements to keep the Teacher's licenses up to date will be covered by the employer.
