The Retail Project Intern is a temporary, part-time, project-based position that will support various departments within the retail organization.
The main goal of this position is to complete outstanding projects that support the overall sales, profit and operational goals of the channel.
Collecting and analyzing sales and market data to assist with overarching buying decisions Data entry to include assortment and sku maintenance Sample collection and organization Projects:
o Comparable Pricing project o Research online competition and compare feature sets, material, and price to our own products.
o Create the Comparable Pricing Handbook to become the standard for pricing across the channel o Review/Update internal and store policies related to comparable pricing o Review entire project with Legal to confirm that is meets all Legal requirements o Store Remerchandising project o Non-travel focus (increase sales in non-travel products through placement with travel products) o Review Non-travel assortment by segment and provide analysis to team and propose assortment changes to drive sales o Sku Project o In order to create an omni-channel experience, approximately 500 items must be set up in the MI9 merchandising system o Update all skus (including skus for DMV - currently, we only have SCS in the system) o Ensure that all dimensions and key sku datapoints are accurate and verified o Store of the future project o Compile brainstorming notes from all meetings o Work with team to prioritize action items o Pull all go forward plans together into presentation format and work with team and vendors to concept out ideas o Gather pricing and needed info for management to make decisions o Oversee concepting of prototype in local store o Store floor plans o Remap out floor plans for all stores to accommodate new incoming collection High attention to detail and an ability to execute tasks to completion.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
