The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting will play a critical role in helping to further ensure that Samsonite (the Company) is well positioned to meet and maintain the financial reporting and disclosure requirements of the SEC. This is an exceptional opportunity for a well-motivated and career-minded finance professional with SEC reporting experience to join us at this exciting time. The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting will be directly responsible for the preparation of our SEC Reporting (SEC) filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q. The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting will also assist in other financial reporting activities and initiatives. You will work on-site 4 days per week with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage the process for timely and accurate submission of SEC filings. Prepare supporting documentation for all quarterly and annual SEC filings, including coordinating receipt and consolidation of various key financial metrics from other departments. Create and maintain SEC filing calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence. Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors. Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of an internal control environment over SEC reporting. Coordinate and oversee XBRL tagging. Assist in the maintenance of comprehensive worldwide accounting policy documents. Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements. Support Samsonite's process of continuous improvement by looking for ways to improve our efficiency without sacrificing quality. Support the preparation and review of deliverables related to the earnings release and investor presentations, including working cooperatively with our partners in Investor Relations. Support senior management in all corporate functions. Participate in other projects as required. Bachelor's degree is required, accounting major is preferred. 4 - 6 years industry experience. 3 - 5 years financial reporting experience for publicly traded company. In depth knowledge of SEC reporting. Excellent understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP, FASB, IFRS and SEC rules and regulations). Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communications skills. CPA and/or public accounting experience is preferred. Why you'll love working here:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
