POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Salesforce.com is an increasingly important technology platform supporting sales, marketing and service business users across the globe. Salesforce.com is one of the fastest growing platforms at the company and platform capabilities continue to increase. To protect the company's investment in the Salesforce.com platform and strengthen our Global IT-Global Applications team, we are seeking a Salesforce.com Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership in CRM & Cloud Computing technologies, specifically a proven leader with technical design, development, architecture & implementation of Salesforce.com products. The solution architect will be a visionary and strategist for Salesforce.com product areas, working across the multiple business units, geographies and technical landscapes to ensure consistent, standardized and harmonized enterprise solutions.

POSITION
Responsibilities:
o Ownership and leadership of architecture and design of salesforce.com
o Collaborate with business customers and internal IT groups to define technical requirements and solutions (technical design, workflow, layout).
o Develops and maintains the application architecture for the sales, marketing and service business functional areas congruent with the enterprise architecture best-practices and software development life cycle standards.
o Provides work direction to Salesforce.com developers and administrators
o Leads and participates in approved and conceptual projects leveraging salesforce.com platform
o Participates in project and design reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets policies, principles, and standards.
o Design and develop applications, software solutions based on technical specifications and/or customer requirements ensuring that all developers are developing efficient, integrated and maintainable code.
o Assess, selects and aligns products and integration solutions to avoid redundant effort and ensure that enterprise architecture standards are met.
o Oversee the delivery and packaging of customizations to ensure code is being delivered in the proper format with key documentation
o Help develop a virtual team which delivers a high level of commitment to client success and provides timely and high quality solutions which meet or exceed customer expectations.
o Analyze and help resolve software related issues from support team and recommend solutions.
o Assist in the technical development of new resources and provide technical leadership to the on-shore and off-shore team.
o Survey market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
o 5
year Salesforce.com experience with in-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce.com platform and applications
o Experience with Agile & Traditional Software Development Methodologies
o Complete life-cycle management of business solutions leveraging Salesforce.com, Salesforce App Exchange partners in a large, complex, multi-CRM and dynamic enterprise environment
o Salesforce.com Certified Administrator and Developer

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
o 5
years of experience managing large technology engagements
o Salesforce.com Certified Architect
o Ability to develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop point-of-view, delivery methodologies, etc. as related to Salesforce.com
o Experience with off shore development, external developers/consultants across time zones and geographies
o Proficient technical and functional understanding of salesforce.com application portfolio (Sales, Service, Portal, Mobile, Chatter, Force, etc.) and its capabilities and limitations
o Experience in developing Salesforce.com custom objects and work-flow business rules, third-party tools (e.g. SFDC Excel Connector, SFDC Data Loader, etc), the SFDC toolkit (e.g. Visualforce, Apex, S-controls, Triggers, Chatter, etc.)
o Deep/Exceptional frontend skills such as : Advanced knowledge of VisualForce, VF, Web Development (Ajax, javascript, HTML DOM Model, HTTP, SOAP, JS Remoting, CSS, browser compatibility and optimization FF/IE) etc. Along with solid understanding of Object Oriented development and design, experience in using design patterns and ability to right clean, well-refactored maintainable code.
o Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management
o Previous working within Life Sciences sector preferred
o Master's degree
o Able to travel up to 20%Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
