Vice President of R&D

Position Summary The VP of R&D will be responsible for providing executive leadership and management of the Company's product development activities worldwide. He/She will work closely with other functional leaders in the company, including those in sales and marketing. The Vice President of R&D reports to the CEO and is a member of the Company's executive team.  Responsibilities Accountability for the R&D roadmap Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, for all product development - Legacy and next generation research.  Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements, per the product and/or marketing requirements document.  Ensure that the product is fully and correctly defined and documented.  Ensure the product quality. Hire and lead senior group members to acquire necessary resources and plan to meet scheduled commitments.  Ensure implementation of formal processes to support the product development process.  Lead and manage a global R&D and Engineering group of more than 80 employees Requirements Strong leadership capability Proven managerial experience Strong operational and project management skills. Agile and innovative in spirit Solid understanding of technical development issues, sales, marketing and operations as related to product design, development and manufacture.  At least 10 years engineering experience as vice president or senior role in SW and HW development Proven experience in Agile development  Experience of managing a team of 50-100 engineers in multi sites and offshore Advantage: Experience with Carrier Ethernet/ MPLS/Switching technology Advantage: Virtualization and NFV BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required; MA is an advantage. The position will be based in the Yokneam Israel; the team is based on two competence centers; Israel and Sofia Bulgaria. Assume 10% travel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
