What Clinical Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Clinical Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Clinical Operations function.

The Medical Affairs Department leads scientific and clinical activities, including grants, publications, evidence, relationships with medical stakeholders, Advisory Boards, clinical education, and overall medical strategy. The team is uniquely positioned to deliver highly credible, scientific information to internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a scientific expert to lead the implementation of the medical affairs strategy for the assigned therapy area. This expert will bring a background of scientific and compliance rigor, excellent communication skills, and will report to the Global Director for Medical Affairs.

Responsible for the execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for critical business functions including but not limited to:?

  • Alignment of medical, clinical, educational, and health economics strategies with the commercial teams for assigned therapy area;
  • Guidance on activities that foster evidence landscaping and evidence development to guide current and future strategies for medical, clinical, health economic and educational activities for assigned therapy area;
  • Facilitation, generation, packaging and dissemination of medical and clinical information for both internal and external clients for assigned therapy area.

Responsible for supporting the organization in establishing the highest medical-scientific credibility with customers and stakeholders and acting as a medical-scientific expert liaison between the organization and the medical community through the communication of medical-scientific evidence-based data.

Responsible for establishing long-term medical-scientific/strategic relationships with key thought leaders and with related medical associations and academic centers of excellence.

Responsible for the review, analysis, and communication of clinical evidence to guide current and future strategies for medical, clinical, and educational activities and to create market access for assigned platform.


  • Undergrad required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in related field

Technical skills:

  • Medical/Life Science/Allied health degree and clinical or scientific background
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific information; respond to inquiries and address needs of key stakeholders
  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships throughout the medical community
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive constructive relationships with cross-functional team members
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, flexibility
  • Experience in relevant clinical practice preferred
  • Understanding of the highly regulated medical device industry environment in which we work
  • Ability and willingness to travel; 25% possible?
  • Clinical background, or extensive clinical research experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in Operational processes, health care compliance, regulatory requirements, and project management is required
  • Understanding of clinical environment and patient care

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
